Kelvin Kilonzo (civil Burkard) is a contemporary dancer and actor based in Cologne. He studied acting at the Theater Akademie Köln and contemporary dance at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln.
For his appearance in the award-winning film “The Third King” by Christoph Strunck, he received the “Best Actor” award in 2018 at the “Revolution ME Film Festival New York”. With Martin Hawie’s
“TORO” he ran 2016 at the Berlinale. In 2017, he created a duo piece with Mime Milan Sládek, which they perform in various European countries. His dance is rooted in Hip Hop and Break dancing. He regularly visits battles in Germany and Europe with his crew. Since his studies Kelvin already works in the independent scene. This led to cooperations with the “Akademie der Künste der Welt”, “Tanzhaus nrw” and continuously with “Junges Ensemble Stuttgart”. With the musician Pablo Giw he created the performance project “fluid states of being” with which they perform at numerous festivals for three years.
