Anton von Bredow is part of the company n ï m since 2017. He will be the stage designer for the first time for this company for the work at K3 in Hamburg.

After an unsuccessful outburst (with the studies of graphic design) of the theatre world – where he learned speaking – Anton started to study stage design in Hamburg at the HFBK with Prof. Raimund Bauer.

Before and parallel to that he assisted stage and costume designers at various theatre and opera productions. At places such as the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Teatro alla Scala Milano the Burgtheater Wien, Salzburger Festspiele, the Thalia Theater and Kampnagel Hamburg.

After doing the set design for an arabic movie (قبل ماأنسي) he starts now to do his own stages. In Hamburg („Babylon/Exodus“ / Gregor Schuster) and in Basel (Kaspar Hauser&Söhne / Olga Bach) and Cologne (Wonderland Ave / Sibylle Berg) together with Ersan Mondtag.

Thinking of dance, Anton is interested in visualizing and arranging tonalities. He tries to find a language originated from the comprehension for classical theatre, rethought and abstracted, made with lots of sensible irritations. Stimulated by going deeply into the origin of context – may it be historically, religious or biochemically – the outcome is colorful, metaphorical forms close to nature towards less abstract sacral, surreal rooms.
